You should include a visit to the vibrant city of Galway in your itinerary for Ireland. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy in Galway, with an abundance of fantastic activities and unforgettable day trips available.
There are tonnes of entertaining pubs in Galway! Enjoy live music, see some street theatre, or just spend the afternoon in one of the lively pubs! If you don’t like shows or music, visit one of the many historical monuments, markets, or fantastic eateries.
Blackrock Tower
For many pupils, the Blackrock Diving Tower is a favoured location. It is recommended that you leap from the tower at least once while you are a student in Galway! Students living apartments in Galway can visit this place with their friends. Even in the winter, kids swarm to this location at the end of Salthill’s prom to catch a sea swim. Coldvember, a student-run charity at the University of Galway, meets in Blackrock every day in November to prepare for the chilly weather and to raise money for charitable causes.
Attend The Spanish Arch
After courses, spend a pleasant day or evening at Spanish Arch with some friends while the weather permits! Spanish Arch is a great place to hang out with your friends. With breathtaking vistas of the Claddagh in the background. On a pleasant day, you can find people enjoying everything Galway has to offer while gathered on the green.
Post-Class Student Luncheon
You may get a filling lunch close by if you’re taking a study break or in between classes. There are numerous excellent places to get petrol directly across from the University of Galway. A popular hangout for students, Wards Corner offers freshly cooked sandwiches and wraps that can be taken out. Students living at Galway student accommodation also adore Matt’s Sandwiches, which provides delicious and convenient lunch options. These spots are a must-visit if you’re on the University of Galway campus.
Take An Ice Cream Study-Break
A small treat is one of my favourite ways to break up the school day. Your best bet is to use incentives. Walking with your student residence in Galway mates is a perfectly acceptable way to decompress and enjoy yourself when the lectures become too much. Wards Corner Store, described earlier, has a tasty 99—always go for the flake! Go for the cone at Murphy’s Ice Cream on High Street, another popular location in Galway.
Try An Escape Room
Galway’s escape rooms offer an interesting and enjoyable way to spend time with your pals if you’re seeking unusual things to do in your spare time. This one provides an opportunity for team building. A wonderful way to spend a day and use your university-level brain power is to take on challenges in the Great Escape Rooms on Dominick Street.
Check Out Pure Skill
Spending time with friends at Pure Skill Galway is a terrific way to encourage some competition! In this cutting-edge indoor sports destination, you may compete against your friends in ten major sports in an indoor circuit arena. Pure Skill is a great spot for students in Galway searching for different things to do because it’s a different kind of hangout with your pals.
Discover The Little Cinema
Filmmakers are invited to an open mike night at The Little Cinema. The Little Cinema, which screens short films every month, is a fantastic event for anyone who likes cinema! This is a fantastic method for students at the student hostels in Galway interested in cinema to gain exposure at the local level!
Have A Movie Night
Galway offers excellent, cost-effective movie selections for students. Pálás Cinema is a fantastic location to relax and lose yourself in a different world, offering amazing shows of beloved films and blockbusters. It’s a terrific spot for students, and on Mondays, you can bring a friend for free. With their “Ruby Tuesday” offer, Eye Cinema becomes victorious as well. A movie ticket is only €6 for any student who possesses a current college ID!
If you are in Galway looking for an ideal student home then you can check out Swuite Galway. It is one of the leading student housing options in Galway built with all the modern amenities and features.
